With over a decade of experience in Washington County Public Schools, Kathy currently serves as a Title I School Family Liaison, dedicated to supporting students and families in low-income communities. As the treasurer of Rising to Learn, Kathy is committed to fostering transparent and accessible communication about the Washington County Board of Education and our public schools.
Beyond her work in education, she oversees the Maryland Food Bank food pantry at her school, ensuring families have access to essential resources. As a longtime Hagerstown resident of over 17 years and a proud parent of a South Hagerstown High graduate and a current student, Kathy deeply values the role of community engagement in shaping our schools. Kathy believes that families deserve a space for open, honest communication about the decisions impacting their children’s education, and is honored to contribute to that mission through Rising to Learn.
