
Angela Yamashita is an experienced community leader and advocate for education, mentorship,
and youth empowerment. She has spent over a decade working to develop and implement
programs that support and create impactful learning opportunities for students and families.
As the current Program Coordinator for the HARC Lighthouse Program, Angela collaborates with HARC’s Faith Community and other community partners to provide enriching educational
experiences for students. She also leads the Little Leadership Academy Group Mentoring Program and the Youth Leadership Academy with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washington County, fostering mentorship and leadership development among young people.
In addition to her work in mentorship and education, Angela also serves as Vice-Chair of the
Washington County Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She is also an active member of the
Hagerstown Youth Council Partner Group, furthering her commitment to youth engagement and leadership. Angela understands the transformative power of education. Her personal and professional experiences drive her dedication to ensuring that everyone has access to accurate information and factual resources about education policies and leadership.
