Dottie Gruhler

Dottie Gruhler is a Registered Behavior Technician with WCPS and the founder of the WCParents Facebook page, the largest online parent community in Washington County, which has served the community for over a decade. With a diverse background that spans restaurant and retail management, running an online women’s network, and being featured in Entrepreneur Startup Magazine for an innovative chat platform, Dottie brings a wealth of experience to her work.

A proud resident of Smithsburg for 21 years, Dottie lives with her husband and has three amazing children. She has been an active member of the Smithsburg Days committee for several years and has dedicated 14 years to WCPS. Throughout her career, Dottie has contributed to numerous committees, is consistently nominated for the ESP of the Year Award, and was honored as one of the first recipients of The Golden Compass Award. She has served for several years as the PTA president at both the elementary and middle school levels.

Above all, Dottie is passionate about working with the students of Washington County, which she considers the most rewarding part of her career.
